– Counseling Advisor  –

Dr John C McEwan is an ACC registered counselor in stress related disorders and is a full member of the New Zealand Association of Counselors.

He specializes in the fields of stress, grief, depression, anxiety, trauma and burn-out… and he’s damn good at it. 

He’s spent many years researching, writing and presenting on these topics at the highest levels as well as being kind enough to give counseling advice for Jimi’s book, “A Bit Mental”.

Darren Ellis - Live More Awesome Advisor

– Fitness Advisor –

Darren completed his MSc in the area of exercise physiology, and is the owner of CrossFit NZ (NZ’s first Crossfit Gym) and Reebok CrossFit 09, gyms “where ordinary people learn how to be extraordinary”.

Because he is a beast, he has competed at the Australasian CrossFit Games since 2008, and because he is now old, is in training to qualify for the World Masters next year.

Darren’s greatest achievement is training Jimi to Lilo The Waikato.*

Jen is a fitness and well-being specialist that combines physical and mental wellness through the use of Yoga, Meditation/Breathing Techniques, and Strength and Core Conditioning. Jen is an internationally experienced trainer who has worked with many different cultures which has lead her to have a deeper understanding and perspective of human beings. These thought processes encouraged her to study deeper into Yogic philosophies, and has enabled her to apply these learnings to help people and their own perspectives on themselves in a positive and more insightful way.

Tom spent 26 years as a broker in finance trading inflation swaps and bonds for the banks. He recently walked away from the industry at the height of his career to fulfill his mission of spreading calm and stillness across the globe through meditation. Tom has an unwavering commitment to reducing stress and chaos in people’s lives, cultivating peace, calm and shared abundance.

– Primary Care Advisor  –

Johnny works in innovation and development in primary care and his role focuses around partnering with community groups and NGOs. He is passionate about supporting wellness and quality mental health outcomes for individuals and their families and feels that mental health should receive the same attention as physical health receives from the health system. Johnny believes in preventative, holistic, community health care and is involved in many physical and mental health initiatives across the Auckland region. Outside of work, Johnny is involved in individual advocacy for mental health service users, governance and support of NGOs as well as perfecting Rambo’s (his bichon frise) paw to hand combat.
